Saquarema has different fishing spots and plenty of fish in the sea and lagoon. Fishing accessories are cheap, or you can rent equipment from the hotel.
Boating
Boat trips are organized from the lagoon in Saquarema, and boats are available for rent.
Surfing
Saquarema is a surfer’s paradise. Surfing courses are organised and boards are available for rent.
Kitesurfing and windsurfing
In Araruama (30km away), there is a kitesurfing and windsurfing school at the lagoon.
Scuba diving
Arraial do Cabo (60km away) is the best place to go scuba diving, with diving schools, and equipment for hire.
Paragliding + hang-gliding
Courses and tandem flights are offered in the neighbouring resort of Sampaio (15km away). Ideal flight conditions, good updraft and ramps of up to 770m in height.
